Kommentar The name Andon Ağa only appears as an attribution in two known sources. The name may refers either to Andon Duzyan (1765-1814) or may refer to the dragoman and Swedish diplomat of Armenian descent, Antoine de Murat (1739-1813) who lived in Istanbul and is known to have written a treatise on Ottoman music and transcribed many Ottoman musical works into western notation.
