It is not clear whether dāġī ḥüseynī is referring to a specific makâm name or to a type of melody or song form named dāġī. Today in Türk halk müzik the term dāġī refers to a type of uzunhava-like long song sung in the mountainous regions of eastern Anatolia. However there is also similar makâm names that have appeared, such as dāġī bayātī. |
