The term Dil-ārā in the title heading is most likely the name given to the pīşrev, although there is also the possibility that this might be part of the maḳām name, ḥicāz dil-ārā. However there are no other known examples of a maḳām named ḥicāz dil-ārā, and since this piece is attributed to Aḥmed Aġa it dates from the 18th century when the naming of pīşrev was still in practice. |
